Perdido means “lost” in Spanish, and you’ll have no trouble losing your cares at this lushly tropical KOA sidled up along the shores of Perdido Bay. Ease into Southern living at your shady pull thru or waterfront Kamping Kabin.

Glide from the campground’s pier out into the bay’s well-protected waters in a fishing boat or canoe. Explore the Perdido River or the watery maze of Gulf Islands National Seashore. Gulf Coast beachcombing, sunbathing and swimming beaches are just 12 minutes away. The famous Blue Angels precision flying team, based at Pensacola Naval Air Station, performs in July and November.

From I-10 heading east, take Alabama Exit 44 (59 South) to the Beach Express. Turn left and go to 98, turn left and go 14 miles to County Road 99 just before the bridge. Turn right and go 2 miles.

From the west on I-10, take Florida Exit 7, turn left and go to Blue Angel (173) turn right and go to 98, turn right and go 7 miles. Cross the bridge and turn left at light (99) and go 2 miles.
